Primer condicional | Idiomainglesceb

Esta forma del condicional se utiliza cuando una situacion es real o posible,generalmente usando el futuro simple. En cuestiones gramaticales esta forma de condicional sigue las mismas reglas que el anterior como la coma si la oracion inicia con la clásula If debera llevar la coma en la segunda oracion y el orden de las oraciones no altera el significado.

Fórmula

If+presente simple+ futuro simple.

Ejemplo:

If you finish your homework, we will go to the movies.

*Recuerda que el verbo modal will se puede contraer sólo con los pronombres personales.

Ejemplo:

If you finish your homework, we´ll go to the movies.

Tambien existe su forma negativa.

Fórmula

If+presente simple en negativo+futuro simple en negativo

Ejemplo:

If you don´t win the lotery, you won´t buy a house.

*Recuerda que pueden estar las dos oraciones negadas o solo una de ellas.

Verbos modales de posibilidad (May,Might)

En este condicional tambien se puede utilizar los verbos modales. El modal 'may' se traduce como 'puede que' y 'might' se traduce como 'podría ser que'. Ambos expresan posibilidad (con might es más remota)

Fórmula

If+presente simple+ may o might+presente simple

Ejemplo:

If you don´t feed the dog, your mom may get angry.

You might drink orange juice if you are thirsty.
